Light Sport Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit

For those looking for a side by side
seating two place the Corsario should interest you. It has
been produced in South America since 1994 and currently over
1400 units are flying world wide.
The kit comes about 80 per cent built,
leaving the builder to install his engine and propeller,
which according the Sportair Aviation the Corsario
distributor, should take between 80 and 100 hours.
The fuselage uses 4130 chromoly steel and
aluminum, while the hull and turtle deck are fibreglass.
Wings are fibreglass leading edges with foam ribs and
conventional fabric covering. |

The Corsario features a tricycle gear landing
set up. Retraction of the gear is via two handles, one for
the main gear and one for the nose wheel, which are hand
operated, which is allowed under the new sport aircraft
rules. Empty weight comes in at 735
lbs with the Rotax 912 engine. Two 10 gallon fuel tanks are
standard. Take of distance on water is 250 to 300 feet and
climb at gross was said to be 1,000 feet per minute. Cruise
85 mph.
