Light Sport Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit

The Sorrel SNS 2 Guppy was is an all wood aircraft
manufactured by Sorrel Aviation in the mid 80's. It uses all
wood construction, covered in standard aircraft covering
materials.
It takes between 700 and 1300 hours to build from a set of
plans. It can be built using basic hand tools in a two car
garage. |

It is a
single place bi-plane, tractor, in a taildragger
configuration. The SNS 2 Gupply features standard three axis
stick and rudder controls with a center stick and right hand
throttle.
Take off distance with the Rotax 447 is about 250 feet,
climb rate 700 feet per minute, cruise comes in at a
comfortable 65 mph, with a stall in the 35 mph range.
The latest
version of the plane is called the Hiperlight and features a
welded 4130 chromoly steel fuselage, covered in dacron
sailcloth, and is available from
