Light Sport Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit
into what are described as ultralight aircraft, advanced ultralight
aircraft,
light sport aircraft, experimental light sport aircraft, experimental
aircraft, amateur built aircraft, ELSA or homebuilt
aircraft in the United States and Canada. These include
weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,
powered parachutes, and powered para-gliders.

At Sun N Fun 2010 Piper
Aircraft had two Piper Sports on display one in the LSA mall
and another in a moving display in the main Piper tent.
Piper used Sun N Fun to announce that they have now
delivered their first PiperSport, serial #1 with the
customer taking delivery at Sun N Fun.
According to Jackie Carlon Marketing Director for Piper
Aircraft it is just one of a planned 75 PiperSport's that
the company plans on delivering this year. |

It is amazing the strides that Piper has
taken over the past several months. In late 2009 they
weren't even in the light sport aircraft marketplace with an
aircraft. Now they marketing a plane under their Piper
banner, have delivered one and are in the process of getting
ready to deliver another 75 by years end! Sales should be
helped by the fact that Piper is offering the PiperSport in
two very exciting energetic paint schemes one in red, white,
and black and the other in blue and silver.
Piper has to recognized for another first in
the light sport aircraft industry. They are the first Legend
Brand aviation company to use Social Media to launch an
aviation product via the internet. According to Jackie over
98% of Piper costumers surveyed use the internet to do
research either through a website, a blog or You Tube.
