Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit

weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,

The Zing is design number
three by Scott land and his best effort yet. Not a
testimonial but it has flown more and been flown by more
people than the others. It a low cost good looking plane
that can be powered by a smallish cheap 32HP Kawasaki
engine.
One of the things I don't like about a lot of new amateur
designs is that they are never thoroughly flight tested.
Yes, somebody brave takes them around the pattern but many
are not properly flight tested at a range of payloads
and CG conditions.
What are the stall and spin characteristics of these planes
at max gross with an aft (or forward) CG. We don't know.
Established designs like Kolb, Challenger, Quick etc. have a
history, and are more professionally tested. |
