Light Sport Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit
into what are described as ultralight aircraft, advanced ultralight
aircraft,
light sport aircraft, experimental light sport aircraft, experimental
aircraft, amateur built aircraft, ELSA or homebuilt
aircraft in the United States and Canada. These include
weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,
powered parachutes, and powered para-gliders.

Early 80's design. Had problems with roll stability and
control.
The Midwest micro light Tomcat is a single seat, ultra
aircraft in a pusher configuration using a 440 Cayuna engine. It is a high
wing, which is mounted on top of a V shaped tower.
The Tomcat has a canard, which is operated by a center
mounted stick, with a left-hand throttle, and rudder pedals
that are connected to the rudders which are located on the
wing supporting struts. |

The Tomcat features all aluminum bolt and
rivet together construction using a king post and wire
bracing. It has a double surfaced wing
covered in dacron sailcloth. It is a tricycle gear with a
steerable nose wheel. |
