Summit Steel Breeze powered parachute.

The Steel Breeze is a departure from the way they have built powered parachutes in the past, in that the Steel Breeze does not use an aluminum boom tube for the main fuselage.

The Steel Breeze instead uses a 4130 welded steel fuselage, with an aluminum bracket rear section. This has cut down the weight by approximately 70 lbs, and because the fuselage is already built during the welding process is a very quick and easy aircraft to assemble from kit form.

Steering on the ground is controlled by a yoke style steering wheel, while foot operated steering bars are used in flight.

The Steel Breeze does use the same rear seat fuel tank and 4 point parachute mounting harness found on other Summit chutes. The unit is available as a kit or can be purchased ready to fly.

The base unit is being powered by the Rotax 503, dual carb, dual ignition 50 HP engine using a 2.58 to 1 B reduction drive.

Instruments included with the kit include tachometer, EGT, and CHT gauges.
