|
Scott Severn of U.S. Aviation Services was at
Sun N Fun 2011 to introduce a new concept in service for the
light sport aircraft market.
U.S. Aviation has been operating since 2002 involved in all
area of light sport aircraft including sales, flight
training, maintenance, avionics installation and repair.
For over a year now Scott and U.S. Aviation
has been working on introducing an entirely new concept for
servicing and supporting the light sport aircraft industry.
U.S. Aviation has joined together with a number of major
light sport aircraft manufacturers and distributors to
provide a "factory authorized, national in scope, light
sport aircraft repair and maintenance facility." |

U.S. Aviation now offers this at their
facilities in Denton Texas. According to Scott U.S. Aviation
is now factory authorized to work on 92% of the SLSA market.
The advantage of this is that their location is centrally
located in the United States giving access to a great
majority of lightsport aircraft owners, dealers, and
manufacturers. This should lower
insurance and repair costs since aircraft will no longer
have to be returned to an overseas factory or importer
location for repair. U.S. Aviation has been servicing the
aviation industry for nearly 10 years and has built
facilities to handles the needs of small general aviation
aircraft right through to jet aircraft.
Scott Severn has spent his entire career
in the ultralight and light sport industry. His addition to
the staff at U.S. Aviation gives them a unique perspective
on just what is needed to properly service this new and
growing segment of aviation. To that end the climate
controlled maintenance shop is open 7 days a week 18 hours a
day. In 2010 this transferred to just over 30,000 hours of
maintenance booked through the facility, which employs over
125 people.
