Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit
into what are described as ultralight aircraft, advanced ultralight
aircraft,
light sport aircraft, experimental light sport aircraft, experimental
aircraft, amateur built aircraft, ELSA or homebuilt
aircraft in the United States and Canada. These include
weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,
powered parachutes, and powered para-gliders.

For those looking for an affordable motor glider U.S. Aviation has just
want your looking for the Cumulus. Over the past year the company has been
working on tooling, production equipment, drawings, molds, control
systems, manuals etc and is now delivering kits to customers.
The kit
should take about 250 hours to build. One customer with the factories
assistance spent from a week going from kit to finishing off the kit less
wiring.
The Cumulus that was on display was about 80 per cent complete and is
expected to be up and flying shortly after the show. |

Plans are to have two at Airventure, one
with the standard wing, the other a Sportplane version
with a shorter wing.
The Cumulus can be powered by the 477, or 503 Rotax, or the MZ single
cylinder engine. With the 447 take off distance is about 150 feet climb
rate 700 feet per minute sink rate 190 feet per second with a 20 to 1
