Aircraft Pilot is a directory of aircraft that generally fit
into what are described as ultralight aircraft, advanced ultralight
aircraft,
light sport aircraft, experimental light sport aircraft, experimental
aircraft, amateur built aircraft, ELSA or homebuilt
aircraft in the United States and Canada. These include
weight shift aircraft, more commonly known as trikes,
powered parachutes, and powered para-gliders.

A number of years ago a company introduced a system called the Para Mast
which allowed a powered parachute to take off and land on water. Next year
a Helium filled PPC wing was introduced which allowed did the same thing.
This year Rapid Launch U.S.A. introduced their latest system for float
plane pilots wishing to fly their PPC's off water. The latest design uses
a winch and a set of "trumpets" to move the parachute lines up and down a
two masts.

A pilot taxi's out into the water, unpacks the chute from its bag,
hooks the risers into the system, starts taxiing into the wind as he
activates the system via electric switches on the steering assembly. This
moves the chute up the masts and forms the airfoil. Once the chute is
inflated the pilot can then lift off.
On landing he reverses the action. Bringing the plane to a stop as he
activates the switches, which corrupts the wing and brings it back down
the masts where he can disconnect it and replace it back in it's bag.
