Flight Design made several announcements at
Sun N Fun 2010. The first was the introduction of the CTLS
Lite a craft that weighs in 50 lbs lighter than the standard
CTLS and sells for about $20,000 less!
How did they do that? Well first they are
offering more American made avionics and equipment, and have
cut back on the standard equipment.
They also announced that an amphibious
float system the Glastlite 1400 made by Clamar Floats of
London Ontario is now available for the CTLS.
This system is designed for aircraft with
a gross weight of 1430 lbs. Some of it's feature include
that it is corrosion prove, does not use rivets, and has a
carbon fiber front bumper. |

developing a hand control system for their LSA models, as
well as a cargo pod, which could be used to store a wheel
chair. Currently 300 CT's are flying
in the U.S. supported by 7 distributors and 12 dealers.
